There has been "backsliding" on women's equality, democracy, children rights and freedom of expression across the globe, the UN Human Rights Chief warned on Wednesday.<br /><br />Volker Türk said Afghanistan stands out as an “extreme example” of the deteriorating situation of women and girls rights, but added a similar trend is also seen in the “global north”.
